Tri-Adrenopan® - How it Works

Background

When the body is under stress for a prolonged period of time, it enters a stage of resistance which results in the continued stimulation of the adrenal glands by ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone, from the pituitary), causing accelerated release and synthesis of adrenal cortex hormones1. This resistance stage allows the body to continue fighting stress long after the initial alarm reaction has occurred2. The adrenal gland, when stimulated, also produces cortisol, a steroid hormone which is involved with the relief of pain and other symptoms in a variety of joint problems3.

It appears that pantothenic acid and vitamin C play a role in proper adrenal function and may assist in maintaining this function during extended periods of stress4. In addition, increased amounts of these vitamins as well as liver concentrates suggest an improvement in the capacity of animals to withstand stress4,5,6,7. Vitamin B6 plays a role in the proper production and / or secretion of ACTH from the pituitary gland8. Because pantothenic acid and vitamin C are water soluble and present in large amounts, these ingredients have been designed to release slowly for prolonged effect

Tests by ConsumerLab.com have found multivitamins that were short on ingredients, failed to dissolve properly, or were contaminated with heavy metals.
ConsumerLab.com, New Product Review: Multivitamin and Multimineral Supplements, Posted 4/1/09

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has found that manufacturing problems have been associated with dietary supplements. Products been recalled because of microbiological, pesticide, and heavy metal contamination, and because they do not contain the dietary ingredients they are represented to contain, or they contain more or less than the amount of dietary ingredient claimed on the label.
