Long term support for joint complaints associated with edema. Combines B vitamin combination with electrolytes potassium and magnesium. Recommended as a follow up to Aqua-B6.
There are over 60 vitamin B6-dependent enzymes currently known, many also requiring magnesium for proper functioning. Conversion of glycogen to glucose for energy, numerous reactions of amino acid metabolism, formation of niacin and the neurotransmitter serotonin from tryptophan, and the production of hemoglobin all require vitamin B6. This nutrient is essential to the nervous system through its role in the formation of gamma-amino butyric acid, a regulator of neuronal activity.
Vitamin B6 also plays a role in the regulation of water balance. It is involved with the release or production of ACTH, the pituitary hormone which stimulates the adrenal cortex to release other hormones directly involved in water metabolism.
Deficiency of vitamin B6 can cause weakness, irritability, insomnia, nervousness, difficulty in walking, depression, and lesions around the eyes, nose and mouth.
Carpal tunnel syndrome, use of oral contraceptives, menopause, pregnancy and certain forms of anemia have been associated with vitamin B6 deficiency.
In cases where the doctor has carefully examined the patient and determined that a vitamin B6 deficiency exists, we offer the product B6-Plus for his or her consideration.
Suggested Usage: As a dietary supplement, take 1 tablet daily, or as directed by a physician.
KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN
B-6 Plus has been formulated for long term joint fluid support. Combining vitamin B6 and magnesium, which function together as coenzyme and cofactor in many biochemical reactions throughout the body, along with the appropriate ratios of synergistic B vitamins and electrolyte support factors make B-6 Plus the ideal formula for most patients.*
