Pet Naturals is one of the first companies to introduce a Phase 2 pet® weight loss product for dogs. This clinically and scientifically proven starch blocking ingredient has been shown to cut starch digestion up to 75%, so it naturally reduces absorption of carbohydrate calories to support weight loss without the use of stimulants. In a published veterinary conducted canine trial, 15 dogs showed an average weight loss of almost 5% of their body weight over an 8 week period and an average of abdominal girth reduction of 1.44 inches per dog due solely to use of Phase 2 pet starch blocker. By blocking starch carbohydrates as a source of energy, the dogs were forced to burn body fat for energy. The weight loss seen in this study was attributed to loss of fat and not loss of muscle.

Up to 50 lbs: Give 1 tablet, 10 minutes before each meal.

The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) was established to work with the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) and the FDA to resolve product regulation issues for companion animals. Dr. Roger Kendall, Pet Naturals Vice President of Research and Development, and Dale Metz, Pet Naturals CEO, are NASC founding members.

As part of the NASC executive team, Mr. Metz is also involved in working with the FDA and the Center of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) to establish new policy guidelines for animal health products. Dr. Kendall is the Chair of the NASC Scientific Advisory Committee. In addition, both have played an instrumental role in the development of the NASC Compliance Plus Program. This program sets guidelines for product labels, adverse event reporting protocols and quality control standards, as well as providing guidance for industry-directed research. At present, the NASC represents 65% of the animal health product manufacturers in the United States.
